Climb aboard a 1904 Southern Pacific Railroad Steam Locomotive that ran on many of the rail lines through El Paso during the great Age of Steam. Meet a Certified Steam Engineer who explains how it operates and defines the Fireman's job responsibilities. Climb aboard a Santa Fe Railroad Caboose and meet a Conductor who explains how he, the Train Men / Brakemen, and Switch Men manage train operations. Watch a train robbery reenactment by Six Guns and Shady Ladies. Learn about the historic 1936 PCC Streetcars operating Downtown. Look over the antique cars. Purchase books by El Paso area authors. Meet the author of of "Gringo's Curve," the historic account of Pancho Villa's train raid and massacre during the Mexican Revolution. There will be kids games and Operation Lifesaver, a railroad safety information for families. Food Trucks will be available.

The El Paso Train Show will be located at 801 Hawkins Blvd. at the Freeport McMoRan Copper Refinery. (MAP)
