Take a tour of the El Paso Police Academy led by Lieutenant Jason Johnson. See defensive tactics training in the “slam room”, learn about a cadet’s basic instruction, target practice and more. Recruitment takes up to six months followed by training at the Academy for 7 months.

The El Paso Police Academy was origninally the Dudley & Orr Limestone Quarry. You will learn about the quarry and other history of the Academy.

The Academy is located off Scenic Drive just east of the scenic overlook. (MAP)
