Hear famed El Paso historian, Bernie Sargent, discuss the middle archaic history and history of Keystone Heritage Park. From small, single-room brush huts clustered in groups of two or three to the Doniphan expedition, Keystone Park reflects the rich heritage of the El Paso southwest.
Meet at the entry to Keystone Heritage Park Botanical Gardens. (MAP) No pets please. Remember to bring a mask.
This event is part of our Kevin von Finger Bonanza at Keystone Heritage Park. Kevin was a beloved ecologist and biologist in El Paso. He died suddenly on November 14, 2012. The Keystone Wetlands are dedicated to him. There are three events today: fall birding, useful plants and history and prehistory events at the park. There is a $2 park entry fee which includes all or any one of the events.
