Fall Birding at Keystone Heritage Park

Shoveler at Keystone Heritage Park and Wetlands

Shoveler at Keystone Heritage Park and Wetlands

Go with the El Paso Audubon Chapter to Keystone Heritage Park and Wetlands. Your guide, Kevin Floyd, will point out several species of ducks returning from their northern breeding grounds, wading birds and sparrows. This is the tail end of fall migration, so there might be some unusual birds moving through as well. You will make some basic identification of birds and appreciate Keystone more.

Bring a mask. Wear a hat and/or use sunscreen, bring plenty of water, binoculars and a camera or smartphone. Please no pets. For more information, kwfloyd@gmail.com.

Meet in the Keystone Park parking lot at 7:30 sharp. (MAP)

This event is part of our Kevin von Finger Bonanza at Keystone Heritage Park. Kevin was a beloved ecologist and biologist in El Paso. He died suddenly on November 14, 2012. The Keystone Wetlands are dedicated to him. There are three events today: fall birding, useful plants and history and prehistory events at the park. There is a $2 park entry fee which includes all or any one of the events.
