Women's Hike in Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks Monument

Open to all women and non-binary folks of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels wanting to explore the mountains for the first time or the millionth time. Learn and share your knowledge of preparing for outdoor adventures, fitness, and all things nature!

We will be hiking the beautiful Pine Tree Trail at Aguirre Spring Campground. This is a moderately difficult 4-miles trail with significant elevation gain of over 1000 ft in the first 2 miles. The last 2 miles are a downhill trek. It will get your heart rate up!

Please bring:
-plenty of water
-snacks and lunch
-appropriate clothing. This will be a wonderful winter day, so wear layers. You want to stay warm during the cooler part of the day, and be able to take off layers as it gets warmer.
-good close-toed shoes with good grip

FEE: $5 per vehicle. Cash or check only.

Come alone or come with friends. The hike will happen rain or shine. Any weather is a good day to be outdoors. We will start at 9AM. If you are running late, you can start the hike and catch up. We will be hiking the loop counter-clockwise.

Directions: Drive east on US-70. In less than a mile, turn onto Aguirre Spring Roads following signs for Aguirre Spring Campground. Drive all the way to parking lot for Pine Tree Trail. If using GPS, just type in Aguirre Spring Campground.
