City Nature Challenge begins tomorrow! Tell the El Paso Audubon that you are going to each of the four day events. It’s easy to join in. Be sure to get your iNaturalist app and create an account. Definitely watch their video tutorials to get up to speed.

If your birding, check out the El Paso Audubon list of guides. The El Paso Chihuahuan Gardens/Centennial museum has an extensive list of native plants. There are no pictures so this may be arduous. They are working on updating their website. However, if you get an identification, you can learn moe with the Chihuahuan Gardens list.

El Paso County AgriLife Extension has a great list of “bugs”.  West Texas Urban Forestry Council has many pictures of trees that you will see around here.  Frontera Land Alliance has a nice page on local species. On Facebook, check out Nature Walk Trails.

iNaturalist has an extensive list of species of all kinds in El Paso, Texas. There is a picture of each and each one has its own webpage with more information.

If you have other online guides, please share.

I’m pumped and ready to go.
