Thanks to Kevin Floyd of the El Paso-Trans Pecos Audubon Society, interest in birding is picking up. This past Saturday, he led a birding trip into Resler Canyon. There were 11 people. That’s not nearly the amount of some of our other events; but, it is a surge of interest in birding.
Tomorrow, Floyd leads a field trip into Keystone Heritage Park, one of the best places to visit in El Paso. It is a showcase of native plants, El Paso history, archaeology and sports wetlands. Migrating birds will be on the top of the list for tomorrow.
Remember to bring your binoculars.
By the way, Kevin will be giving a talk on February 26, 2019 – “Why birds matter and what you can do protect them”. The talk is part of the Kevin Von Finger speakers series sponsored by the El Paso Sierra Club. His presentation will begin at 7AM at the Centennial Museum at UTEP.
