Unveiling of Art Mural at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park

Join Asombro Institute for Science and Education in unveiling a new beautiful mural at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park done by local artists Zoe Spiliotis and Adrian Aguirre.

The piece focuses on desert ecology and highlights the beauty of Chihuahuan Desert grassland and shrubland. The mural is part of a larger effort by the Art+Bio Collaborative to bring science murals to the El Paso/Las Cruces area.

Guests should meet in the parking lot near the restrooms building.

We would love to have the community there to help us celebrate art and science.

We will have:

-Scavenger hunt, STEM/Art activities

-Prizes

-Refreshments

-Pack in pack out

Please stay on the trails at all times. Bring sunscreen, hats, water, umbrellas. Dogs are allowed on leash or restrained anywhere in the park. Please be responsible, and pick up after your pet.

Getting to CDNP: Right after Mesa Middle School Jornada Road becomes a dirt road, you will continue down this road for about 4 miles then turn left at the large park sign on the left side.

Asombro Institute for Science Education is a nonprofit in Las Cruces, New Mexico which owns and manages the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park.
