Useful Plants Series: The Archaeology Museum

Native Americans used many of the plants native to the Chihuahuan Desert for food, medicine, making fire and shelter, and other things. Take a casual stroll around the El Paso Museum of Archaeology to learn about some useful plants that grow there. This is a short walk on easily accessible trails. After this field trip, you can view the exhibits in the Museum of Archaeology for free! Your guide has 20 years of experience teaching about useful plants for Celebration of Our Mountains and is a professor at Southwest University.

Meet in the parking lot of the El Paso Museum of Archaeology, 4301 Woodrow Bean Transmountain Dr. (MAP)
