Tau Herculid Meteor Shower

Image from Yahoo

Be dazzled on May 30, 2022 for a night of stargazing and shooting stars as earth passes through the debris field left by the comet Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 (SW3). The upcoming Tau Herculid meteor shower ordinarily results in just a trickle of shooting stars, but there’s a chance it could be something extra special this year. Meteor rates could range between one and 1,000 meteors per hour depending on the dimensions of the debris cloud. You may be in for quite a light show. Bring your telescopes, binoculars, lawn chairs, blankets and snacks. Your trip leader will be Paul Galvan.

Meet at the Edge of Texas Steak House, 8690 Edge of Texas parking lot t 8:30 pm. (MAP) We will then drive a short distance on a dirt road.
