Regrettably, this event has been cancelled by the Mount Cristo Rey Restoration Committee.

The safest time to hike to the top of Mt. Cristo Rey is during a policed event where there will be crowds of people. Every year the Mount Cristo Rey Restoration Committee sponsors a pilgrimage on the last Sunday of October. This event is open from 6 AM to 2 PM. This will not be a guided hike led by Celebration of Our Mountains. So, you can choose the time that you wish to begin. Give yourself 2 hours and remember to wear good hiking shoes, sunscreen and bring plenty of water.
