Walk where Juan de Oñate tread! Enjoy a 3-miles walk along the River Park Trail. This portion of the 12-miles trail runs along the Rio Grande and the historic “El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro”. You will see the Franklin Mountains to the east and the mesas of New Mexico to the west during your quiet and soothing walk. Meet at the Family Dollar parking lot on the corner of Vinton Road and Doniphan/Hwy 20 just north of El Paso and Canutillo. (MAP) You can take the Vinton exit off of I-10 to get there or just cruise up Doniphan.

The trail is part of the Paso del Norte Trail project of the Paso del Norte Health Foundation and sponsored by the Creosote Collaborative.
