Spring view of Mexican poppies at the Museum of Archaeology Wilderness Park

Spring view of Mexican poppies at the Museum of Archaeology Wilderness Park

Because of Covid-19 and the difficulty of keeping social distance on field trips such as this one, the format of this trip will be a video presentation, available to view beginning September 26th, on the Celebration of Our Mountains YouTube page: (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBwTj0KaUk9WZlZmrRQRqaw).

This is the first in a series exploring El Paso neighborhoods and parks to learn about the uses of common weeds, landscaping plants and Local Chihuahuan desert plants. Your guide is an expert in ethnobotany and primitive skills, as well as a professor at Southwest University, Dr. Eric Kappus, ekappus@southwestuniversity.edu.
