Attend at an educational “boot camp” at Resler Canyon. Take a walking tour of the canyon and also learn more about the Frontera Land Alliance. You can check out animal furs and skulls and insects. Meet at the Cadiz Street entrance. (MAP). Bring water, wear a mask and sunscreen, use sturdy walking shoes. Please observe social distancing as best as you can. Recommended: binoculars and a camera or smart phone.
The most common plants seen at Resler are:
Creosote Bush, Ocotillo, Prickly Pear Cactus, Texas Rainbow Cactus, Desert Willow, Mormons Tea, Honey Mesquite, Soaptree Yucca, Torry Yucca, Four-winged Saltbush.
The most common animals seen at Resler are:
Mule deer, Black-tailed jackrabbits, cottontail rabbits, Gambels quail, white-winged dove, gray fox, coyote, cactus wren, house finch, collared lizard.
