Walk down one of the most interesting and pristine arroyos in the Franklins. You may even see Mule Deer. A car shuttle is required for this hike. This will be a three mile, three hours, moderate off trail hike. Long pants are recommended. Meet at Hondo Pass and Virgo Lane (MAP), leave some cars there and car pool to Transmountain Road Smugglers Gap parking area to start the hike. There is a $2 FMSP fee or use your TX Parks Pass. Bring 2-3 liters of water, snacks and sturdy hiking boots. This hike is dog friendly if your dog has been trained and socialized. Bring doggie bags and water.
