Do some easy, basic hiking in arroyos and on ridges in the Franklin Mountains. Some walking will be off trail with uneven footing. Hike is just 4-miles, 3-hours with a slight elevation change of 250 feet. Learn about some of the native plants. Meet at the corner of Mountain View Dr. and Zircon. Then shuttle to Stoney Hill and Big Bend. Bring 2 qts. of water, a camera and snacks and wear sunscreen, long pants, a hat and sturdy footgear. Hike leaders are Judy Ackerman and Christi DeBates.
