The Desert Fiesta is a FREE event for the whole family to discover the wonders of the Chihuahuan Desert. Visit educational exhibits, guided walks, demonstrations and fun outdoor activities.  You will learn more about our desert environment, wildlife and El Paso history.  From a lookout point you can hear a talk about Aden Crater, Bishop’s Cap and giant ground sloths. Directions to the Tom Mays Unit of the Franklin Mountain State Park: From I-10 and Transmountain Road (Loop 375) travel east 3 miles on Transmountain/Loop 375 and turn left into the state park.  For more information visit www.chihuahuandesert.org.
