Enjoy a 5.5-mile, easy to moderate hike at the north end of the Franklin Mountains – an area rarely explored.

Details: Bring 3 liters of water, snacks and sturdy hiking boots. There is a $2 FMSP fee. Dogs trained and socialized for people and other dogs are okay.

Directions: From I-10 West, take Exit 162 (Anthony/Chaparral) NM 404. Drive east 4.2 miles. Turn right onto a dirt road. Go through a green gate. Drive 0.2 mile to a flat parking area on the left.
